Today we are showing up, fully transparent, for what the summer months ahead are going to look like.
Most saw our announcement about the menu change and wondered why?
After being thrown for a massive staffing loop, we, too, had to change.
It was unexpected, especially given that we have been so focused on finishing our new project at 102, Second Story.
Nonetheless, we shifted.
And for now, we have no choice but to shift again.
“A wise man changes his mind, a fool never will.”
With so much anticipation for Second Story, we have decided to simply allow the Refinery 507 to cater to the space every Wednesday and Thursday night during the summer.
The main Refinery 507 Storefront will be closed for our normal hours this summer: from Wednesday, June 5 - Thursday, August 29th.
Wednesday nights will be pre-ticketed events, oftentimes with LIVE music!, where you can purchase your ticket online. (You'll find all these events HERE + we will be adding more in the coming days and weeks for all of summer, 2024).
Thursday nights will be open to the public on a first-come basis (no tickets required). We will be open on the rooftop from 4-10pm.
Rounding out May looks like this at the Refinery 507:
Wednesday, May 29 = normal hours
Thursday, May 30 = normal hours
Friday, May 31 = normal hours PLUS one last Steak 'n Smash night! This is a favorite night at the Refinery 507 - our stack of steak with homemade smashed potatoes
Saturday, June 1 = 4 - 9pm featuring all of our most-loved burgers (yes, even the Better Than Sex Burger!)

Can I still rent The Event?
Yes! And HERE is more on that space.
Can I still rent The Studio?
Yes! And HERE is more on that space.
Can I rent the Refinery 507 for a private event?
Yes! And if you want to have a private event there any night of the week, we can have a bartender available and/or food catered. If you're interested in this, please just email us HERE.
How can I still get food from the Refinery 507?
You can always have us cater any event outside of our buildings and/or inside any of the spaces during your own event.

Can I reserve tables on Thursday nights at Second Story?
Unfortunately, no, but we open at 4pm if you want first choice :)
As we have a max capacity of 50, all space is available on a first-come basis.
What can I do in your Second Story space?
Honestly - anything! The space, which is modern industrial with a mix of eclectic + boho flare keeping history front and center, was created to use for 2 hours or 24+ hours (Yes! You can stay here, too, as it doubles as an AirBnB, sleeping up to 10 comfortably).
Have a girl's day + overnight
Host a private party
Bring your company up for a retreat
Celebrate a birthday, Bachelorette party, or baby shower
Get married in an intimate setting

Here is the heartfelt truth --
We (Makayla Rae and Sarah Kay) have literally invested our entire lives between the 100 + 102 buildings.
When we bought the first building nearly 3 years ago, there was just one goal: create spaces for Waseca and the 30+-mile radius where people could spend time together.
If you've ever read through our homepage, it states:
“We came to cultivate community in Waseca, MN and the direct 30-mile radius, celebrate other creators in our spaces, house guests near and far, and support collaboration for everyone who steps foot through the historic doors.
We want people to come to 100 + 102 State St. North just as they are; no matter who they are, where they have been, or where they strive to be.
This is us.
This is Thyme on Main.”
With all of that, we fully realize that when we are forced to make changes, not everyone will agree with or be as excited about the changes as we are.
And yet, bumps in our road don't mean we stall; they only mean we pivot so that we can keep on growing, giving, and bringing something to the community and beyond that steps outside the mainstream box.
