When history blends seamlessly with a clear vision, magic unfolds.
It all began with a single idea….
How could we infuse a slice of history with our crystal-clear vision to craft something entirely fresh and innovative?
This is the Thyme on Main story.
When Makayla Rae Selvik and Sarah Kay Hoffman founded Thyme on Main the vision was crystal clear:
Create from a place of simplicity.
From the names contained within the building (Second Story, Refinery 507, The Studio, The Stay + The Event) to the food and drink options, decor, and branding……simple and clean.
Remove the clutter and invite people in to a place that’s fun, inspiring, and feels like their own.
Thyme on Main: OUR Spaces
Second Story
BRAND NEW!
The Studio.
A cozy, small event space to privately host events.
Created for and by Makayla Rae Photography and Design Co., The Studio is both a place for creatives and small-event enjoyment.
The Event.
Smile. There’s vodka!
Whether you’re looking for a crafted cocktail, tap beer, glass of wine or simple yet elevated appetizers and fun food options (like our Fiesta Shrimp Bowl and Sirloin Steak ‘n Smash on Friday nights), you’ll find it at the Refinery 507.
REFINERY 507.
Whether you’re wanting a ‘staycation’ in your hometown or are traveling from far away to enjoy all the charm Waseca has to offer, The Stay is the perfect getaway place. With three spaces to choose from (studio, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom), we are here to make your adventures in Waseca even sweeter.
The STAY.
Our three core values.
-
Community.
Makayla Rae Selvik and Sarah Kay Hoffman were both born and raised in Waseca. Between the two of them, they have 7 children. Community, and a sense of it, is very important for the mission. Through community, at Thyme on Main, we strive to give back and provide meeting spaces in order to cultivate community.
-
Creativity.
Celebrating and honoring creativity is part of our everyday lives. Between the founders’ online and offline business endeavors, creativity is the catalyst for excellence. No matter what your business, perogative, or aspiration might be, we encourage full creativity at Thyme on Main.
-
Collaboration.
Supporting each other and working together is vital in a small community. We believe that the more we collaborate, the stronger we all become.
